QUALITY ASSURANCE POLICY

ERAS NIG LTD  has a formal Quality Assurance Program, covering the areas of work performed within the organization. The program meets the requirements of BS5750 (and the equivalent ISO 9000 Series), Title 10, Part 50, Appendix B of the Code of Federal Regulations. The purpose of the program is to establish policies to facilitate the implementation of regulatory requirements and to provide an internal means for control and review to assure that the work performed by ERAS NIG LTD is of the highest professional standards.

The procedures as documented in the Quality Assurance Manual are formally reviewed by corporate management on a yearly basis. The Quality Assurance Manual defines mandatory practices to be employed by personnel engaged in any particular project. Project control is maintained through a system of planned audits conducted by the project-independent Quality Assurance Engineer. Supervision for the administrative, technical and quality areas of a project is provided by a Quality Assurance Review Committee, composed of the responsible corporate officer, the Quality Assurance Engineer and the Project Manager.

The responsibility of the overall direction of the program rest with the Quality Assurance Engineer who reports directly to the Managing Director, He is responsible for the content of the Quality Assurance Manual and the supervision of assignments and activities of his staff members. The responsibility for project quality related works rest on the Quality Assurance Engineer and Project Groups. In general, the Project Group will provide quality control. It is the responsibility of the Quality Assurance Engineer to assure that applicable requirements and standards are being employed, while it is the responsibility of the Project Group to see that these requirements and standards are implemented.

All personnel must recognize their individual and collective responsibilities as defined by the Quality Assurance Program and meet these responsibilities as part of normal corporate operations.

HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT

To All Employees,

The Health, Safety and Environmental Control Policy of ERAS NIG LTD as a company; we are bound to meet the statutory requirement laid down in law regarding the health and safety of all our employees. It is our intention that these demands should not only be met, but be executed.

As contained in the Company’s Safety Policy manual and the means of its application. It is recognized that our people, plant and equipment are our greatest assets and that as much protection as is possible that be implemented. Our policy manual, therefore, is of considerable importance to each and every one as it contains the Company’s Policy on standards and responsibilities, the arrangement for monitoring the safety and participation in developing and maintaining a safety working environment.

It is our Policy to create an accident free, safe working environment across the whole range of our activities. However, it must be stressed that this policy can only be effective with your participation and with our commitment so that we can maintain the required high standards of safety and thus achieve a safety record that is second to none.

This statement is the representation of the committed approach of the company to its Health, Safety and Environmental Control Policy.  It is intended to complement and enlarge upon the General Statement of the Health, Safety and Environmental Control Policy of the Company.

The statement is for the attention of all employees, contractors, working for, or contracted to, the company. Accordingly, all personnel should be reminded that, in addition to their obligations under this Policy and the Health and safety at work etc. (Act 1974), strict compliance with Client Safety Regulations, Standards and Emergency Procedure is an essential part of the conditions of your engagement.

 It is our policy to:

  • Ensure all works are planned, managed, conducted and supervised in compliance with legislation and best practice.
  • Maintain safe operations and production activities, provide safe facilities and equipment that are properly designed, engineered, constructed, maintained and operated.
  • Work with our sub-contractors and suppliers to help them to comply with our HSE standards.
  • Comply with all legal requirements, international standards and Policies.
  • Monitor the health of all employees on a regular basis to ensure they are not adversely affected by the workplace.
  • Maintain adequate emergency response procedures and resources to minimize the impact of incidents and/or accidental pollution, and test systems for effectiveness.
  • Report and analyze all accidents, incidents and anomalies in order to improve procedures, the behaviour of operators/staff and equipment in the running of our operations.
  • Ensure that all waste is disposed of in the correct skips and bonfires are not conducted on site.
  • Ensure that employees, contractors and stakeholders are aware of and trained on our HSE requirements and abide by them.
  • Conduct internal audits and periodic reviews, backed by third party audits to identify shortfalls and possible areas of improvement.
  • Strive to minimize the environmental impact of all our operations, to identify and minimize risks and to prepare to take appropriate actions should an incident occur.
  • Endeavour to manage natural resources in a responsible way, to preserve biodiversity for future generations and promote sustainable development of our communities.
  • Pursue continuous improvement in the measures taken to protect the Health, Safety and Environment of those who may be affected by our exploration and production activities.
  • Ensure that all workers have a clear understanding of their responsibilities along with that of the company.
  • To promote the Health, Safety and Environmental awareness of all Personnel involved in its operations and for any member of the general public affected by its operations.
  • To create awareness of safety and safe working practices in all personnel.
  • To set a high level standards and performance for people, plant, services and equipment and to ensure that, in the performance of all services, all reasonable care is taken to ensure the health and safety of all persons who may be affected by any work or services performed.
  • To establish training needs and programs.
  • To prevent all accidents and incidents, and to ensure that, where they do occur, corrective action is taken to prevent their recurrence.
  • To determine responsibility for health and safety at all levels.
  • To ensure that effective lines of communication and consultation are open to both management and workforce and that communication remains effective.
  • To ensure the above is regularly monitored, through the safety review system, in order that needs and trends can be analysed, that safety performance can be measured and that swift, effective action can be taken as and when necessary.
  • To ensure the health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented for the benefit of local communities directly affected by the project operations.

This Policy is applicable to all the employee’s, sub-contractor, suppliers and/or Visitors at all Project locations/sites/Offices.

The emphasis on any Safety Policy is on the need for participation and co-operation of all individuals at all levels.  This emphasis cannot be overstated and provides the foundation upon which an effective policy can be maintained.

It is essential that all individuals are aware of, and actively participate in the Company’s commitment for the control and supervision of their health and safety at work and of the public, personal and Company’s legal liabilities involved in non-conformance with Statutory Regulations pertaining to health, Safety and Environmental Control at work.
